Loosemeat Sliders

It's so dang-blasted hot and humid. The weatherman keeps promising rain - but nothing here. And God above knows how bad we need it!

The cold front that was supposed to be heading this way changed it's mind and is going to bring heat instead.

Compound that with hot flashes - OMG! Yeah - HOT FLASHES! It's a shame they (the hot flashes) don't stick around when the temps here are below zero when you could appreciate them more!

If I wasn't a lady I'd go naked!

But cooking still needs to be done. And I'm cheating whenever I can!

With my still insane schedule - I have to make something good and soon. So, as I hung over the meat counter at the market, I decided to buy a large package of ground chuck - then I can make loosemeat sammies for today and a pot of meat sauce for tomorrow.

Today I made Loosemeat Sliders and Salad

I heated my skillet and added a bit of olive oil; heated that as well. Added my meat and seasoned with Kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, onion powder, fresh ground fennel, paprika, garlic, and parsley. Fried well and added my barbecue sauce and some ketchup.

Served on potato dinner rolls with a side salad. And although you cannot see it - I hid some fresh sliced onion on the heel of the buns before topping with my loosemeat - mmmmmmm!

Easy enough to make - and a nice change.
